Gilda’s Club Quad Cities to Receive $10,000 Contribution

Gilda’s Club Quad Cities will receive a donation of $10,000 this month from John Palmer, Owner/CEO of Quad Cities Suzuki and ProMax Online™, a software application used by auto dealerships nationwide. Mr. Palmer will present Gilda’s Club Quad Cities with a check in the amount of $10,000 Thursday, January 17, at 10 a.m., in the Quad Cities Suzuki showroom at 5401 Elmore Avenue in Davenport.

“Gilda’s Club offers us a way to help support people in the Quad City community who are coping with cancer,” Mr. Palmer said.

“The generous contribution from John Palmer and his employees at ProMax Online and Quad Cities Suzuki will provide countless program opportunities for hundreds of area families,” said Claudia Robinson, Executive Director of Gilda’s Club Quad Cities.

“The funds received will have immediate impact on the lives of our members, providing educational workshops, support groups, nutritional guidance and much, much more.”

Employees of ProMax Online and Quad Cities Suzuki collect money each Christmas to help purchase toys, games and art supplies for “Noogieland,” an area of Gilda’s Club designed specifically for children and teens who have been affected by a cancer diagnosis. This year the money raised was put toward the company’s gift of ten computer laptops to help children keep up with schoolwork and stay in touch with teachers, friends and classmates. The $10,000 was an additional contribution this year.
